DMA Radius Manager – Custom Radius Attributes on Mikrotik

Quick Recipe: If you are using DMA Softlab Radius Manager & want to assign Dynamic Address list to a service on Mikrotik so that user can automatically be added to dynamic address list under NAS, you can do so by using Custom Radius Attributes under the services section.

Before proceed next you should first know about mikrotik custom attribut and dynamic address, if you know these then follow the step.

  • Login to Admin Panel
  • Goto Services
  • Click on your desired service example 4mb
  • Under `Custom RADIUS attributes` , add below attribute
1Mikrotik-Address-List := 4mb

Save , & test any user authentication by CMD,

1rmauth 127.0.0.1 test 1

on NAS dynamic address list will be created for each user of this service group. Late ryou can use this address list to mark connections / packets/ routing/queue etc.

As you saw that the process is very simple. By the combination of Mikrotik and DMA Softlab Radius Manager, you can custom attributes into Mikrotik. You don’t need to do anything within Mikrotik.
